Go Out On A Whim With This Year`s Christmas Gifts For Him

Article by John Smith

They say that people are either doers or thinkers and while thinking is great, those of us who spend too much time doing it can often talk ourselves out of the best decisions in life! Famous theorist Peter F Drucker once said “People who do not take risks generally make about two big mistakes a year. People who do take risks generally make about two big mistakes a year.” So sometimes it pays to just go with your instincts. Making investments, going away to study, carrying through a business idea all carry an element of risk, but if we do nothing, we just end up with what we always had and nothing changes.

It’s much the same when it comes to buying Christmas gifts for him. Whether he’s your boyfriend, your dad or your grandson, you can guarantee he’ll be difficult to buy for. How many times have you trawled through the shops in the Christmas rush, putting pressure on yourself to find the perfect gift? Well maybe now the time has come to say enough is enough. Too much thought never did anyone any good. So let a little risk into your life. Christmas gifts for him should show your reckless side, so throw caution to the wind, and go with your instincts, be bold, be daring!

Be Reckless – Splash Out!

Sometimes we become a bit too obsessed with our budget and now and again it does us good to splash out, even if it’s only the once. Plus it’s a great way to guarantee finding the best quality Christmas gifts for him. Gifts like the amazing ‘Pico Sky Challenger Helicopters’, cutting-edge boys’ toys that can be pitched against each other in the ultimate battle of wit and reaction time. The thing about Christmas is that it’s a great excuse for playing with toys it’s that one time of year when it’s not only allowed but encouraged! But Christmas is also the biggest day of the year for celebration and when you can give special gifts like the ‘Jeroboam of champagne’, there’s no excuse not to pop that cork and have a great time. In size the Jeroboam is equivalent to 4 standard bottles and presented in its rustic wooden Jean Pernet crate, it’s the ultimate in Christmas gifts for him.

Be Daring – Go With Your Instincts

While some people never see anything they like in the shops, others have a handy knack of spotting items that they just have to have. They fall in love with those irresistible gifts and just have to buy them, even if it means waiting till later to decide who to give them to! Sometimes, buying the right Christmas gifts for him is about going with your instincts and choosing something that simply tickles your fancy.

Like the ‘Remote Control Tarantula’. So frighteningly real, so gruesome and hairy, go on, admit it, you’re dying to see how it moves! And being so unusual, it appeals to any age group, so it’s perfect for your dad, your brother or your best friend. Then there’s the adorable ‘My own Morph Kit’, containing all the materials and accessories you’ll need to create your very own little plasticine friend from the 1980s. This great little gift even comes complete with a DVD with 15 episodes featuring the little man performing in all his glory.

Be Bold – Take The Mickey!

Sometimes buying Christmas gifts for him is about taking a risk and winding him up. Would you dare have a dig at your overweight buddy with a set of ‘Mr Greedy – Who ate all the pies’ Cufflinks? Who knows, if he takes it in good humour, he might even go on a diet in the New Year. And how about the man in your life that has a few bad habits, including a roaming hand that creeps down the trousers at every opportunity? Indulge his passion with an authentic ‘Gentleman’s Ball Scratcher’! This unique item is slender enough to make a discreet entry down the tightest of pants and reach into the trickiest of spots.

It even comes in its own gift box, so it’s perfect for travelling or to keep alongside other essential items in his briefcase. And what about your grumpy friend, brother or boss, the one whose pint glass is always half empty? You’re sure to know someone who fits the bill. Why not change his life with the unique ‘Be Happy Gift Box’, containing a hypnotherapy CD and self-help guide on how to live life more positively. You’d better hope it has the desired effect, as there’s also a little book full of quotes for a longer life!

  3. Noah says:

give him something that shows how much you love him, so he knows its from the heart and just a symbolic item for how long you guys have come :)

  4. s sb says:

  8. CrAzY says:

This will only work if you have a way of making a Picture slide show(Windows Movie Maker) but you could take all the pictures that the two of you have and put them to music(a song you both like) and load it onto a CD. then for the credits make them personal/something that comes from the heart and I’m sure he will love it.

    Hope this helps. :)

  9. Derek says:

If you really want to get him “something”, try to think about his reasons: WHY doesn’t he like presents?

If you answer that question, perhaps you can get around it. I.e. he may not like them because often they’re just gifts (ie. not practical). He made not like someone giving him special treatment. He may have had a bad experience in the past for whatever reason. Once you’ve answer that, you could find him a gift that circumvents it.

    Other gift ideas:
    > Instead of a tangible gift, give him a voucher for an “experience” – like a skydiving lesson, or a hot air balloon ride.
    > Give him a “personal experience” – and before you tell me to get my head out of the gutter, I mean stuff like taking him for a picnic, cooking his favourite meal, giving him a massage
    > Give him something between you two – a souvenier that symbolises something important between you two

To give you an example of gifts I’ve given people:
    > Gold-Class (or Premium-Class, depending on where you live) tickets to movies
    > Vouchers for a Hidden Bars Tour
    > A Voucher for Hot-Air Ballooning
    > A Voucher for a person to take a personal ride in a course in a TANK
    > A Digital photo frame with important photos
    > A Letter of Thank Yous (very cheap financially, but took me a year to draft – the letter stretched to ten pages long. Front. and Back)
    > A full-body massage that lasted forty-five minutes (apparently the minimum amount of time a “good, thorough massage” should last for, according the to the book I read.

Anyway, I hope that’s stirred your imagination and I hope I’ve helped.
